TYRANNY'S OUTPOST
The
year is 2368. A gang of privateers led by Amanda Callin is routinely
savaging the fleets of interstellar cargo ships that carry freight
between Earth’s twelve colonies. The raiders attack without mercy,
leaving death and destruction in their wake as they disappear back into
uncharted space. The best efforts of the authorities to track down the
marauders and bring them to justice have been ineffective.
In this environment, Captain Elsie Danion pilots the cargo vessel
Capricorn on a mission to the new colony of Mithras. She, and her
co-pilot Russ carry only one passenger, Alex Ballard. Alex, the foremost
computer expert in the colonies, would make a valuable prize for these
privateers.
A hyper-drive malfunction forces the Capricorn off its course,
stranding it in uncharted space. The crew of the Capricorn uncovers an
unknown colony from Earth’s past, and a plot that, if carried out, could
place the future of the Colonies, and possibly Earth itself, in
jeopardy. Alone, in Amanda Callin’s realm, the Capricorn’s crew must
fight for their survival. Callin’s scheme must be thwarted, but can
Elsie, Russ and Alex stay alive long enough to stop her?
